Fresh blood at the Server Staff!

| With the immense growth of population on our server, we also need a growth in the quantity and quality of our server staff, so another round of recruitment has started. Soon we will take our picks from the applications we recieved, and introduce our new Game Masters. GM activity will improve soon, leaving the admins more space to focus on fixing and troubleshooting. We also recently added a new vendor at the cities of Orgrimmar (Horde) and Stormwind (Alliance). At this vendor you will find quests to earn some special items like firework, costumes, and mounts. A special item has been added to bosses in pre-TBC instances in order to complete those quests. We still have some bugs that crash the server once in a while, but the frequency seems to drop, seeing our uptime gets higher and higher. But we're still looking into it, and hope to find and fix the problem any time soon. Also the bosses at Hyjal and Black Temple are fixed now, they previously did too much damage, and some bosses where not scripted. The account registrations are closed again, and are again invite-based. Look in your profile for options to send 1 invite per month to a friend. Greetings, Centaur / Nemesis |  |

You can find the download file here: WoWWiki.com Also, the website registrations are now again opened! This is probably just temporary, so invite your friends and use it while it lasts. ;) New players, create your account here. We currently have some issues with hotmail.com addresses, please use another email address. We had some technical difficulties for the past week. The freezing and crashing issues should be resolved now. |  |

| After half a day of testing, 2.4.1 is officially approved. If you haven't done so yet, please update your client. You can update by running WoW from the Launcher.exe (just once), or download the patch from this link. First you need the 2.3.3 to 2.4.0 file (about 250MB), then the 2.4.0 to 2.4.1 update (about 5MB). After patching, you have to set your realmlist file again to logon.alphawow.net Update notes can be found here. With this new patch a new area, the Sunwell Isle, becomes available! Both instances are still empty, but they are being worked on. The rest of the island is mostly spawned, so go take a look. :) |  |

| After a long period of waiting, we finally patched the arena's into our world of warcraft! Arena points are now for gathering, and when collected enough, along comes the season 2 and 3 arena items available for purchase. We're sure that this will give our server a great boost in gameplay, opening more challenges and possibillities in gear upgrading. Our lag horrors finaly seems to be in the past, and with that, we're going to focus on more ingame problems, rather than lag and hardware issues. Illidan (akama) still needs some work, along with the rest of whole BT and questlines. We still advise you to use the ticket system when you're in need of a Game Master reguarding bugged quests or other non critical ingame problems. Game Masters will no longer reply to whispers from players, because they will handle problems through the ticket system. Any urgent need for GM assistance can be stated in the world channel. We also assigned 3 new developers who are in the trial period now. These are Bolla, Rourke, and Slovix, we wish them all the best and good luck with the troubleshooting on AlphaWoW.
